1922
Permanent Court of International Justice
Founded as the court of the League of Nations, it delivered 27 opinions between 1922 and 1940.
It was replaced by the UN’s International Court of Justice in 1946.
Its role was settling international disputes between states, and, thus, it was not a criminal court as the International Criminal Court would become.
